Outside anyway

It's as stormy as they said it would be this June, but we are weathering the strange electric air, with an every quieting whir of cicadas in the background. Once again, it was very wet this morning. I braved it anyway -- put on my oldest (most comfortable, and not so good for my feet anymore) sneakers and hit the trails, dodging poison ivy (I hope I didn't get the rub!), a few newly downed trees (it really was quite a storm last night again) and many puddles. I made it back, with mud speckled calves, but without getting too wet, thanks to the heavy canopy of trees and greens -- it was a damp, but pretty way to start the day...
