The etsies are here...

Way back when at the beginning of April (had the snow even melted here yet?!), I saw the most wonderfully perfect lounge chairs on a dear friend's blog. The "etsies" (they are crafted by a woodworking couple with a little etsy shop) have been a point of discussion at our house pretty much ever since. This is what H calls them, the etsies.

Anyway, these loungers were exactly what we were looking for - comfortable, well made (real wood!), durable, uncomplicated and modern...oh yeah, and they are portable (so many good things!). Only it wasn't that simple. I lagged on ordering them. Then they were out of stock (they are handmade, order by order to be more precise - it took me a moment to figure that out). Once that was settled, there were problems with paypal, and then another delay when I forgot to send a check. Then, the woodworker had an unfortunate accident with his hand. And as if all that wasn't enough, once the loungers were ready to go, there was postal strike in Canada (where these chairs are made)...

The "etsies" are here

Just when we thought it might never happen, the etsies arrived this week. It was worth the wait - they are goregeous, and we're looking forward to some long lazy hours of lounging in them this weekend.
